About

ADVERTISING CONTINUES TO EVOLVE AT AN UNPRECEDENTED PACE. MEDIA GETS SMARTER. CONSUMERS GET SAVVIER. AND MARKETERS NEED NEW WAYS TO CONNECT WITH CUSTOMERS. MODERN AGENCIES ONLY SUCCEED WHEN THEIR CLIENTS SUCCEED. IT’S THIS GUIDING PRINCIPLE THAT DRIVES US. WE CREATED AN AGENCY NIMBLE ENOUGH TO FOCUS WHOLLY ON CLIENT SUCCESS. IT MEANS BEING FEARLESS AND REIMAGINING HOW WE WORK, AND HOW WE DELIVER VALUE TO OUR CLIENTS – AS AGENTS OF GROWTH.

GROWTH REQUIRES PURPOSE

Consumers are exposed to thousands of products and services every day. And the way they make decisions has changed. The biggest motivators to engagement and purchase are no longer what you offer, how you offer it, or the price you ask. Today, consideration, connection and sales depend on one thing: whether your offer is meaningful. And that requires real purpose. And purpose is what we’re all about.

We help clients grow by looking at their business through the lens of our Think. Purpose. Create. Growth. process. We help them demonstrate the meaningful role they play in consumers’ lives across their earned, owned and paid properties. In the simplest terms, we believe that when consumers buy your purpose they also buy your product.

JOHN YORKE

President & CEO

As you would expect from most Presidents and CEOs, John has a varied background as an aspiring (but not so successful) writer, an interactive technologist, and - most importantly – a team leader with success in building businesses. Before launching Rain43 under a client-service rallying cry of “Helping Business Grow”, John held the position of Managing Partner at GJP Advertising & Design, Divisional President of Mosaic Marketing and Technology, and President/CEO of Medium One, one of Canada’s first and largest interactive agencies, which he later sold to Mosaic. John has been a thought leader in the emerging trends of digital, technology and communication, and has a weekly segment discussing trends in marketing on the Business News Network (catch it at 10:40 am every Friday!).

Shawna brings 15+ years progressive experience in ‘HR’ and Operations. She’s an experienced recruiter with hundreds of searches under her belt, but her big mission comes after the hire, to build strong cultures and innovative programs that will not only attract, but develop, grow, and retain people for entrepreneurial creative organizations. Believing that an agency’s success can only come from its peoples’ success, Shawna’s experience is leveraged to offer Rainmakers many training and development initiatives, as well as individual growth plans through our Continuous Coaching program.
